From
Central Byron drive along the Pacific Highway toward Ballina.
Turn left at the Broken Head Caravan Park turnoff just past
Suffolk Park. Before you enter the caravan park drive onto a
dirt road leading into the Broken Head nature reserve. Follow
the road until you reach a car park at the top of a hill. A
walking track descends from the car park to Kings Beach.
|
| The
forest along the walk to the beach is stunning. The track winds
through a lush nature reserve full of native wildlife and fauna.
The distance is around 800 meters and mostly consists of a staircase
style track. The descent is steep, so you might like to travel
light for the walk back up to the car park. |

| There
has been a number of gay marriages at Kings Beach. This is a testament
for the beach as a meeting place for Gay people. There are many
secluded areas on Kings Beach including lush walking tracks immediately
behind the sandy area. For shelter from the hot sun, try the Pandanus
Palms at the southern end of the beach. Most people prefer to
bring an umbrella so they are free to position themselves anywhere
on the sand. Enjoy the uplifting sense of freedom from going to
Kings Beach! |

Byron Bay: what
to do: Chillout is what most people want to do when they come to Byron.
That means sleep, read, laze on the beach, walk a little, eat, then
sleep.
