DO3 at the Backroom….

A duo that has more presence than most rock bands, DO3 take to the stage like long time professionals.

A melodic musical montage of epic proportions, these guys are a mix of old world meets new world music. A combination of gypsy folk melodies with an electronic edge and vocal harmonies that lift the crowd, to take you away like the swirling autumn leaves on the evening breeze.

Playing a set of all originals this duo didn’t waste anytime enticing their audience to join them on their musical journey. A collection of mismatched instruments and eclectic samples ranging from a dulcimer to the sounds of crocking frogs is what makes this band truly unique.

Not the usual type of band that plays at the Northern Hotel this duo holds the crowd enraptured and eagerly wanting more. To quote Sarah (the mixer) “ We’re more at home playing on the ground while everyone sits eating chickpea curry”. But bygone era hippies these guys aren’t, they have their feet firmly on the ground… It’s the music that lifts your soul and takes you away.

And for this reason I’m getting their album… It’s the best kind of music to listen to at the end of a long day or night as the case maybe.
